It's all a lesson in looking - It's all in the detail. Drawing, drawing drawing is the key into any subject and a way of processing ideas.There is still lots of colour but falling leaves, dead flower and seed heads etc, are catching my eye, but it's feeling a bit like an 'A' Level project on 'Natural Forms' - Nothing new to really say about that!
Back in the studio I have started several small paintings on mounted boards (30 x 30cm - image 1) and 2 larger canvases 60 x 80 - image 2), trying to maintain the freedom of the drawings but simplifying and playing with the colour relationships, I'm happy with the first one at the moment, but the rest are works in progress and will probably get painted over several times. The other images are drawings done on site.
